Glasgow School of the Bible Courses


Old Testament Survey I
A study of the chronological history of Israel starting from Genesis and covering through Esther, including the major characters and events. Special attention is given to the events of the Exodus, the Tabernacle, and the period of the Judges and Kings.

Old Testament Survey II
A study of the poetical books and the major and minor prophets starting from Job and covering through the conclusion of the Old Testament. Special attention is given to the events Psalms and the period of the characters of the Major Prophets. 


New Testament Survey I
This course surveys the New Testament starting from Matthew and covering through Colassians. Special emphasis is placed on authorship, date, and purpose of each book. The course will examine the background and content of each book.

New Testament Survey II
This course surveys the New Testament starting from I Thessalonians and covering through Revelation. Special emphasis is placed on authorship, date, and purpose of each book. The course will examine the background and content of each book.

Bible Doctrines I
A study familiarizing the student with the basic Bible doctrines upon which Christianity stands. This semester deals primarily with the doctrines of Bibliology, Theology, Christology, and Pneumatology.

Bible Doctrines II
A study familiarizing the student with the basic Bible doctrines upon which Christianity stands. This semester covers the major doctrines of Anthropology, Ecclesiology, Soteriology, Angelology, and Eschatology.
 
Life of Christ
This course is an in-depth look at the harmonizing of the Gospels. It looks at the major chronological periods of the earthly life of our Lord with particular emphasis on the spiritual signicance of each aspect of His ministry.
 
Methods of Bible Study
An overview of personal study methods and interpretational rules necessary for proper understanding of the Bible. This course will also guide students in Bible study aids and tools.

Christian Home
A practical study on godly Christian living and the establishment of a family. This course covers principles and guidelines for dealing with spiritual and moral issues facing the Christian family today.
 
Effective Evangelism
This course is designed to help the individual student be an effective witness for the Lord. Instruction will be given on how to reach the lost with the Gospel. Students will be required to memorize key verses for bringing sinners to Christ and giving them Biblical assurance of salvation.
