A Message From Pastor Shane

We are delighted to have you visit our church website. It is my privilege to serve as the pastor of the Bridge Baptist Church. Our heart-felt prayer is for people to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and become actively involved in a local Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church that cares for them.

What an unbelievable thing it is when a group of people come together with an overwhelming desire to please Christ and to see a work started for His glory. This is what a local New Testament Church should be.  Amidst the rush of churches today that are attempting to be churches of the twenty-first century, we would do well to imitate the church of the first-century.  

God’s Word tells us that a group of seventy people evangelized the entire world in one generation.  Although we have every tool imaginable at our disposal, the church has failed to duplicate this amazing feat.  Today’s church is a sleeping giant.  We should not be content to rest while countless millions live and die untouched by the love of Christ.  All they can accumulate here will one day be ashes, and all that awaits them is a Christless eternity.  

Here at the Bridge Baptist Church, through our preaching services, small groups, and the Delaware Institute of the Bible, we are trying to stir believers up to live a dynamic Christian life seven days a week. If this is the type of church you are looking for, our prayer is that you and your family will find a home here at the Bridge.
